Frequently Asked Questions

• Does this fit the WRX GT or TS?
  The GT and TS trims use a different rear bumper configuration than the standard WRX. Fitment on those trims has not been fully confirmed for the CB-083. If you have a GT or TS, reach out to us before ordering and we will verify fitment for your specific trim before you commit.
• What is SUS201 stainless and is it as good as T304?
  SUS201 is a functional stainless steel that handles heat cycling and everyday driving conditions without issue. T304 has a higher nickel content which gives it slightly better long-term corrosion resistance, particularly in areas with road salt. For most drivers this difference will never be noticeable over the life of the car. If you need T304 specifically, we also carry the Remark and COBB catbacks for the VB WRX which use T304 construction.
• Will this cause any check engine lights?
  No. The CB-083 is a catback system that bolts on behind the factory downpipe and does not touch or modify any sensors, catalytic converters, or emissions equipment. No tune or ECU changes are required after installation.
• Does this ship to California?
  Yes, this exhaust does not alter, modify or remove any emissions equipment.

The CB-083 runs 3-inch pipe from the factory downpipe flange before splitting to dual 2.5-inch runs through two muffler canisters. The quad exit tips are 3.5-inch double-wall slant cut. If you want a quad-tip look without spending COBB money, this is a solid budget-friendly option for a daily-driven VB. Material note: this system is built from SUS201 stainless rather than T304. For most street driving this makes zero practical difference. If you're in a high-salt climate and plan to keep the car for 10+ years, T304 has slightly better long-term corrosion resistance. We also carry Remark and COBB catbacks for the VB if T304 is important to you.
