• Does the fan shroud come pre-assembled?
  Yes. The aluminum fan shroud is pre-assembled onto the radiator in the box. You do not need to purchase or mount the shroud separately. It is designed to work with your factory cooling fan or an aftermarket slim fan.
• Can I reuse my factory radiator hoses?
  Yes. The inlet and outlet connections match the OEM dimensions, so your factory upper and lower radiator hoses bolt right back on. No new hoses are required unless your existing hoses are worn.
• Why replace the factory radiator on an Integra?
  The factory Integra radiator uses plastic end tanks bonded to an aluminum core. As these cars age, the plastic tanks crack or the seam seals fail, causing coolant leaks and overheating. The DNA aluminum radiator replaces the entire unit with a fully welded all-aluminum construction that eliminates those failure points. It also carries more coolant than the OEM unit, which improves resistance to heat soak on modified or B-swapped builds.

The factory Integra radiator uses plastic end tanks that crack and leak as the car ages, making an aluminum replacement the most common first cooling system upgrade on any DC2 build. For automatics, The DNA 2-row with fan shroud is specifically designed for automatic transmission Integras and includes factory-matching AT cooler ports so you do not need to modify or bypass your transmission cooler lines. The pre-assembled fan shroud ensures the cooling fan draws air through the entire core rather than pulling hot air from the engine bay. Whether you are running a stock B18B1, a B18C1 GS-R, a B18C5 Type R swap, or a turbocharged B-series build, the full T-6061 aluminum construction handles much more heat than the factory plastic unit and has higher coolant capacity to resist temperature spikes under race or track use.

Product Description

This Aluminum Radiator is designed to provide maximum cooling efficiency to prevent premature engine failure. Its light-weight, and high-heat transferring aluminum features a tube and fin design that, dramatically increases surface area that enables the heat to dissipate more efficiently. This Aluminum Radiator is at least 40% more efficient than stock ones. Most importantly, it has a much higher capacity for coolant than stock ones, which means that your cooling system will be more efficient and will be more resistant to temperature surges in racing applications.

The fan and the fan shroud effectively drive the heat over and out the engine compartment rather than thrusting it into the front of the engine. The fan shroud basically houses the fan blades securing it in place and keeping it from damaging the other engine components that may disturb the smooth and even operation of the engine. With excellent operating temperature management, allowable levels of engine temperature are stabilized. Investing in proper maintenance though will considerably benefit the ride and driving quality in maintaining the ideal working conditions of the engine.
