The AWE Performance Exhaust for the Porsche 981 Boxster and Cayman is the product of one of the most extensive R&D programs in our catalog. Hundreds of hours. Multiple revisions. Countless dyno sessions and real-world tests. All to deliver an exhaust that captures everything the 981 is meant to beāaggressive at wide-open throttle, composed at cruise, and completely addicting from idle to redline.
We approached this system by first studying the shortcomings of what was already on the market. Competitor systems introduced unwanted frequencies and harshness in key RPM zonesāsomething we werenāt willing to tolerate. Our team of sound engineers prototyped and refined the system over and over, tuning for tone, flow, and drivability. The result? A full-bodied Porsche soundtrack without the rasp, drone, or tinny resonance found elsewhere. Just pure tone, the way it should be.
AWE TIPS
Every AWE 981 system comes equipped with bold 102mm slash-cut tips in your choice of Chrome Silver or Diamond Black. All tips are double-walled to preserve their finish under extreme heat and are individually adjustable to set depth and stagger to your liking. Each tip is stamped with the AWE logo as a finishing touch.
